The mighty race mare that has captured the attention and imagination of the Australian public, has continued her unbeaten run and extended her record to 16 straight wins, easily accounting for yet another Group 1 sprinting field in Saturday’s Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington.

Connections and Western Australian racing fans were hoping Black Caviar would make an appearance in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot on November 19, but due to a minor muscle strain, the world’s greatest sprinter will be spelled for the remainder of the Spring and aimed at a return in the Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday, January 27 2012.

With the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival drawing to a close and Black Caviar enjoying a much deserved rest in the paddock, Australian racing will be a much less newsworthy proposition over the next few months, bust rest assured, come her return in January, the spotlight will once again be firmly upon her as she looks to set more records and stamp herself as the greatest racing mare ever to grace the track.
